Warmly responding to the Digital Transformation Day of the Banking Sector 2025. On the afternoon of May 29, 2025, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the event “Digital Transformation Day of the Banking Sector 2025” and announced a credit program worth VND 500 trillion to support science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and strategic infrastructure.
This is the third time Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has attended the “Digital Transformation Day of the Banking Sector” event. At the event, the Prime Minister and other guests experienced services firsthand at the exhibition, which featured 19 booths showcasing digital banking products and services from commercial banks, payment intermediaries, and technology solution providers. This year, the Ministry of Public Security participated in the exhibition with a booth themed “VNeID – The National Electronic Identification Platform: A Safe Bridge for the Digital Ecosystem.”

At the event, the Ministry of Public Security had the honor of welcoming Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to visit their booth and present technological solutions, products, and electronic identification services via the VNeID platform. The Prime Minister especially praised the international technology solutions competition *Data for Life – Season 3: Hack for Growth 2025*. He also commended the Ministry of Public Security in general, and the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order (C06) in particular, for their notable achievements in digital transformation and their serious implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW.

The Prime Minister also expressed concern for small, medium, and micro enterprises, as well as the current 5 million household businesses. He emphasized the need for relevant agencies to study and consider appropriate support measures—such as through public-private partnerships—to facilitate the use of e-invoices generated from point-of-sale systems. This initiative, he noted, would promote digital transformation, help businesses and household enterprises grow, contribute fairly to the national budget, and prevent tax evasion, especially in sectors like food and beverage and other services.

Once again emphasizing that the digital transformation of the banking sector is on the right track—gaining more experience and maturity as it progresses—the Prime Minister wished the sector continued acceleration and breakthroughs in its digital transformation journey, reaching its goals ahead of schedule. He affirmed the pioneering role of the banking sector in digital transformation and encouraged it to set an example for other industries to follow.
